Project!

Het was een lekker druk en creatief weekend, ik heb bijvoorbeeld mijn eerste echte kerstster gehaakt! (Jeej!) Ik zit er over na te denken om er nog 19 bij te maken zodat ik er een slinger van kan maken! Ik zeg... Project! Ik zal foto's plaatsen wanneer ik het af heb.

It was a pretty busy and creative weekend, I must say. For example, I've finished my first christmas star! (Yay!) I'm thinking about making 19 more, it would be so nice to make a garland out of them! So... I say... Project! Pics will follow when I've finished it.

Ik heb ook geëxperimenteerd met het maken van stempels vanuit gummen. Hieronder het eerste resultaat! Het is niet bepaald slecht, sterker nog... Ik ben behoorlijk tevreden!

I also experimented with making stamps out of erasers, and this is the first result. It's not quite bad, I must say. Actually, I'm rather pleased! =D

Als eerst maak je een potlood-tekening op normaal papier. Vervolgens leg je de afbeelding (met het plaatje naar beneden) op de gum en kras je over het papier met een potlood. Op die manier 'kras' je je afbeelding op de gum! Echt super!

Gelukkig had vriendlief nog een paar gutsen liggen (eigenlijk voor linoleum, maar ach...) en ik kon lekker aan de slag! Het is zulk lekker materiaal om mee te werken, het ging echt super makkelijk en soepel. Ik ga dit zeker vaker doen!

En tot slot heb ik eindelijk mijn kol-sjaal afgemaakt. Helaas is het 't niet helemaal geworden wat ik gehoopt had. Hij is een beetje scheef en ook niet zo comfortabel als ik had gewild (een beetje stug, terwijl ik 'm los heb geprobeerd te haken...). Nou ja, volgende keer beter! Aan de andere kant ook goed nieuws, ik heb ook een muts gehaakt en die is he-le-maal perfect! Dus daar ben ik super blij mee!

First, I've drawn the picture on plain white paper with a pencil. Then I've laid the paper on the eraser (upside down of course) and by scratching the surface you'll transport your picture on the eraser. How nice!

I was very lucky my boyfriend still had some tools lying around (for carving linoleum). An eraser is such a nice and easy material to sculpt with! I'll absoluetly do this again!

And finally, I've finished my tube-scarf (round scarf). Though it didn't turned out as I planned... It's a bit crooked and not as comfy as I hoped...Ah, well! Better next time! One the other hand, I also crocheted a nice hat, and it fits perfectly! I'm so happy with it!

Een herfst-tafereeltje

Ik weet dat het in sommige delen van het land op dit moment sneeuwt, maar ik moest dit maken. Ik liep al een tijdje rond met het idee voor dit herfst-tafereeltje. Dus, gisteren heb ik dit gemaakt.

I know it's snowing in some parts of Holland, but I had to make this. It's been quite some time that I had an idea for this little autumn-scene. So, yesterday I made this.

Het is een spelden-boekje. Aan de binnenkant zitten twee vilten pagina's in een warme geel-tint.

It's a pins booklet, on the inside it has two pages of felt in a warm shade of yellow!

M'n eerste bericht!

Nadat ik al maanden weblogs aan het lezen ben, heb ik er nu zelf 1 gemaakt! Zo spannend! Het is allemaal begonnen met de fantastische blog van Attic 24, een weblog over haken. Ik wilde zelf al een tijd leren haken en dan is dat zo’n inspirerende weblog! Kijk naar deze sneeuwvlokjes!

After reading blogs for months, I've started one myself! Soooo exciting! It started all with the wonderful blog of Attic 24, a weblog about crocheting. I've wanted to crochet for al long time, and this is such an inspirational blog! Look at these snowflakes!

Ik kreeg direct zin om zelf aan de slag te gaan! Dus, ik ben op pad gegaan en heb wat vilt gekocht, en zie hieronder het resultaat!

I instantaneously wanted to make all sorts of decorations for Christmas myself! So... I went out and bought some felt and made these little fellows!

Zijn ze niet schattig? De volgende stap is het zelf haken van de sneeuwvlokjes, maar dat is toch wat moeilijker dan het lijkt (ik tel steeds verkeerd!).

Nou, wees welkom op m’n weblog! Ik ben van plan het te gebruiken als bron van inspiratie en natuurlijk om m’n eigen freubels op te posten!

Ain't they cute? Next step is to crochet those little woolen snowflakes myself, but that's a bit more difficult than it seems. ;-)
